Pointfest #2 of 2007

The second Pointfest of 2007 will be on September 30th with tickets going on sale August 4th for $29.

  • Pointfest Lineup
    • Breaking Benjamin
    • Sum 41
    • Three Days Grace
    • Seether
    • Finger Eleven
    • Sick Puppies
    • The Starting Line
    • Evans Blue
    • (hed)PE
    • Hurt
    • Mute Math
    • Chevelle
    • Saliva

It’s a better lineup than the first Pointfest of 2007, but once again the only band I want to see there is Breaking Bejamin.

  • Sum 41, ewe.
  • Three Days Grace, just saw them live a month ago.
  • Seether, saw them a couple years ago at a previous Pointfest.
  • Finger Eleven, know a whole 2 songs by them.
  • Sick Puppies, who?
  • The Starting Line, who?
  • Evans Blue, saw them at the Pageant and was not very impressed.
  • (hed) P.E. saw them a couple years ago at Pointfest, they were ok.
  • Hurt, not a fan at all.
  • Mute Math, who?

I guess this is why I barely listen to the Point anymore, they only play the wussy stuff anymore.

Update: 2 more bands have been added to the lineup, Chevelle and Saliva. Chevelle: Nice. Saliva: No thank you.

  1. I liked (hed)PE live, I thought they did well. I saw Finger 11 in concert (Nintendo Fusion Tour with Cold and Evanescence), they were ok, but nothing special. I like Seether more now than I did when we saw them at Pointfest a few years ago, and would like to see them live agian, now that I know more of their stuff. And, of course would love see BB again. Don’t give a crap about the rest. heh heh…you said wussy.

  2. You might be confused. The point has been playing the same style of music for a long time. Their station selection got more diverse a few months back also. And the best part is definately Donnie in the mornings.

But I think if you say they only play wussy stuff now, you might be confused about when eXtreme radio was still broadcasting at 104.1. I miss that station. =(

The point is great and this lineup is freaking amazing. For the $26-30 the tickets usually cost, there is no better show for the value and variety. You’d definately be crazy not to go.

  3. I will admit that things have been getting better lately, ever since they switched to being on shuffle. Hearing the same song over and over again was driving me nuts.

I do like Donnie in the morning. I don’t get to listen much in the morning, but I do try to catch him when I can.

I do miss eXtreme. I meant to post that, but forgot to. Can’t forget The Pit on The Point, with Jennifer White.
