Another Monday…

Today I had to get up an hour and a half earlier than usual to take Jeff all the way out to McK. Then, I had class. In my Lit class someone got kicked out, so that was funny. They had fallen asleep, which he hates. He made a remark how they don’t even know when he is taking about them, that was funny. So he had the guy next to her wake her up, cause no one knew her name and he told her to leave and go to bed, lol. After that class got out I had to run all the way out to McK again. I got there about 20 minutes early so I spent about 15 minutes just driving around waiting for Jeff to show up. I took him home, hung out for an hour or so, then I came home. Spent the night doing homework and watching tv, my usual night.

This week…

Well this week was the usual. Absolutely nothing is going on.

Tuesday I had a quiz in Earth Science, got a 10/10, go me. I also went out and bought the new A Perfect Circle CD, Thirteenth Step, it is damn good.

Wednesday I had a test in my Intro to Gov. class, I didn’t do as good as I thought or wanted, an 83. Not terrible but ain’t great. Then in my Intro to Lit class I started to doze off for some reason. I don’t know what hit me, but I got really tired all of a sudden. My teacher was not happy and told me to keep um open or leave, so I was awake for the rest of class.

Thursday nothing happened.

Friday nothing happened in class. During Woody and Whipping Boy on the Point they played a ton of their acoustic stuff that was recorded there. So that was cool. I also recorded it ghetto style. Microphone connected to comp recording off my stereo. It actually doesn’t sound too bad. Now I am the process of splitting up each individual track and this will take awhile. I will post all of the tracks I have once I am done. Also, the Blues started their preseason games today and won 3-0.

Saturday I woke up for the Cards game. It was actually a pretty good game. Pujols won the game in the Bottom of the 13th with a homer run to break the 2-2 tie. Blues won again 3-2 in OT over Dallas, hahaha. Tonight I did nothing except cut the grass. How’s that for a thrilling Saturday night. Now, I’m just working on edited the songs and have been working for a few hours already.

School stuff…

Today I filed for graduation at the end of the Spring 2004 semester, I don’t know why you have to do it this early, but today was the deadline. I found out what classes I still need to take and those are: Biology, Speech, and a Health or 2 PE.

This all leads up to the tough question, what the fuck am I gonna do after this? I have no idea what I want to do. All I’ve been doing is taking a bunch of math classes, but I don’t know what I want to do with it. About the only 2 options with math are Engineering or become a teacher.

If I decided to go with Engineering I would probably wind up at SIUE, the main problem with that is that I didn’t take the Engineering Physics classes, which are required. The teacher who does the Physics is terrible and I didn’t want to waste my time. I would have to take those classes before I could even apply to the Engineering School at SIUE. So, doing this would put me even further behind in ever finishing up with school. Plus, I have no idea what field I would even go into.

I really don’t think the teaching thing would be right for me. That is just way too much school for me, esp. if I tried for postsecondary.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for years and I’m not any closer to a decision.

P.S. I’m mad about my fist Stats test, I got a 96, and I know I could have got a perfect 103 ( +3 bonus, which I got). If I would have actually studied I could have done better, but oh well. To tell you how easy the test was, our class average was a 90.

Mudvayne / Powerman 5000 / V Shape Mind / Fingertight Concert Review

Well tonight, last night if you want to be all technical about it, I went to the concert over at Pop’s in Sauget, IL. I went with me, myself, and I, and I really need to stop hanging around with those guys. I got there just before 7 which was when the doors opened and I cound not believe the lines. There were two lines stretching across the entire parking lot, it’s was insane. After about 10-15 minutes in line I finally got inside and I bought a Fingertight T-Shirt. The place was already well over half full, so i was not able to get very close. I wound up to the right of the big ass pole on the right. On to the bands…

7:30-8:00: Fingertight

They guys were the main reason for me going to the concert. I do not think they really fit in with the crowd, but none the less they put on a great show.

8:15-8:45: V Shape Mind

I had no idea who these guys were before tonight. I was impressed. They were really good. The highlight was when Chad from Mudvayne came out and sung on one of the songs. He was wearing a giant afro wig, it was funny and the crowd was going nuts.

9:00-9:45: Powerman 5000

They were really good. They played all of the stuff that everyone knows and even a song off of their first cd. The crowd started to rally get going during their set. They played; Super Nova Goes Pop, Tonight the Stars Revolt, When World’s Collide, Nobody’s Real and a bunch of other ones that I do not know.

10:15-11:30: Mudvayne

I personally am not that big of a Mudvayne fan, but I had seen them live twice before. I first saw them on Nov. 16, 2002, at the same venue and then I saw them on July 25, 2003, at Summer Sanitarium over at the Edward Jones Dome. The crowd was freaking insane. I was near the back thinking I wound not have to worry about moshing, but I was wrong. Right behind me a pit formed and that one stayed around for the first four or five songs, but I think they all got tired and stopped. I stayed around all but the last song they did because I had to rush out and get all of my swag to hand out. So, I missed them play Dig, but it’s not a big deal.

After the show I was out there to hand stuff out. I got rid of all my, Powerman 5000, Adema, SWAT, Cabin Fever, Freddy vs Jason, Fingertight, Sloth, and N-Gage sawg. The people were like vultures after the free stuff. By this point I was tired and did not feel like waiting around for any of the bands so I got in the car to leave. The line to get out of there was crazy. It took me 20 minutes to move about 50 feet. So after 20 minutes of waiting I had enough so I went around the parking lot to the side and went out the other was. I don’t know why others didn’t do the same. Then, there was construction on that road and it was narrowed down to one lane, but it wasn’t a big deal. So, after 25 minutes or so I am finally on the highway and am home 15 minutes later. Well, there you have it.

Rumor: There is a rumor going around the The Urge are going to get together to play a Christmas Show, but I have no idea if it’s true or not.
